A review of FINAL FANTASY XV - Noodle Dreamin' on the Open Road
Yours truly checks out a video game that has everything you'd ever want in a piece of entertainment, so long as that thing is soup merch: Final Fantasy XV (2016) for the PlayStation 4.
Notes:
*This was the first review I made after finishing my epic analysis of Lost. Initially, the plan was to have all my reviews be connected and leak into one another, so when I posted this review in 2017, it opened with an almost seven-minute preamble in which I talked a bit about that Lost review while also correcting a brief mistake I had made during it. I then spoke a bit about what I planned to review in the future. That preamble was not of poor quality by any means, but by 2021, I came to the conclusion that that opening might be a bit of a hindrance to anyone who was watching this review who either hadn't seen my Lost review or was unfamiliar with my channel. I didn't think it was necessary anymore, or worth stretching this out to 40 minutes. And so, I decided to use YouTube's editing system to trim out the first seven minutes of this video, which is why it opens immediately on my review of the game.
*Another plan was to have every one of my reviews have art at the end of it that denoted which number of review it was, which is why there's art at the end of this that features the No. 2, as this was my second review (Lost being 1 of course). However, I abandoned that very quixotic plan right away when it caught up to me how expensive it would be to commission a different artist for each review, just to show off custom art that would only be on screen for a few seconds at the very end anyway. I was way too broke to keep doing that, and frankly, I probably shouldn't have even commissioned this art. But hey, I really believed in myself back then, and felt like it was a worthy investment. In the next reviews after this, I decided to end the videos on stingers instead, which honestly were probably better anyway.
*The video quality is a little... meh at times. This was the first time I ever recorded game footage that was longer than a minute, and I remember it being a big hassle just to have all the clips be rendered properly. I figured it out after this though, thankfully.
*Just in case you think I was being unfair to Cup Noodles in this review, I practically grew up on those Nissin ramen bricks. I have a soft place in my heart for food like that... just not when it comes in the form of blatant video game product placement. The same goes for Coleman.
*I made this video back when my username was not Velodus, hence the "video by" at the end being different. Carry on.
