I seriously considered stopping the playthrough here. I apologize for all the filler in this video, but it's not the sort of level where I care much about getting a squeaky-clean recording (plus the end was blind, since I hadn't made it that far before). In hindsight, it probably would've been better to split this into two parts with an in-level savestate, but I'll keep the option in mind down the road.
Anyway, this is one of the most tedious SMW levels I've ever played. After watching raocow's video, I now understand why all the message boxes are there to begin with, but it stops being clever after being forced to hit them for the hundredth time. Bringing a fire flower helps, since you get an infinite cloud, but good luck navigating all the one-tile passages and not accidentally killing the goomba you need to proceed.
I guess this is the epitome of that "spectator" mindset taken too far; levels like this make me wonder a bit at doing a public release, the better levels notwithstanding.
