A vintage game from the ๐ญ๐ต๐ณ๐ฌ๐ doesn't mean it's not fun (Boxing, Atari 2600)
Time to go back to the earliest days of video gaming, all the way into my parents' time when they themselves were kids, back in the '70s, when the big grandfather of major home consoles - Atari 2600, was around, predating the NES. This game is Boxing, probably the first ever one of such sports games and is one of the few titles I did experience on the real thing a long time ago. Technically, this particular game is 1980, but the console is from that decade. No knockouts or multiple rounds here, the goal is just punch the opponent many times as you can before the time is up. The video is me playing against the CPU twice (I'm the white boxer).
Looking back, ancient as Atari is, as it was made back in 1977, with systems nowadays being the Nintendo Switch or PlayStation 5, the hardware/graphics are EXTREMELY obsolete. But keep in mind, this is what gaming was back 46 years ago. To me, unlike most younger people of this generation, pure simplicity is proof you don't need high-tech technology to make an enjoyable video game!
Unfortunately, the emulator isn't so good at Atari 2600 sounds, so it may be a bit off, but it's still tolerable.
