Playing on a keyboard is NOT good for Super Mario Bros... *Failed*
5I tried playing Super Mario Bros on NES on a different emulator, as the main site I used unfortunately doesn't allow it or other major Nintendo games (except Donkey Kong series), and I had to use my own chromebook's screen recording which doesn't do internal audio so the sound is off.
Turns out, playing the legendary 1985 game (or any other platform) using a keyboard is a major disadvantage, no matter how experienced you are (played for well over 20 years), as they demand precise timing, and the controls doesn't fit well. Some games that also require mashing buttons are downright impossible this way. Unfortunately, I couldn't beat it, which is sad, because in real hardware - NES original or the SNES remaster, I can finish 1-1 to 8-4 in only 35-40 minutes. If controls put an expert into playing like a beginner, something is wrong. Heck, I had better luck playing on the crappy Wii U Virtual Console!
