I have already written an extensive review of this game on Steam. My thoughts are generally the same:
Here are my notes as of writing this review. I am hoping to play more when the game releases.
-Character is blurred in creation screen
-small grammatical errors
-post processing settings are under one roof and there is no explanation on what settings are included
-no music, hopefully yet
-no toggle for crouch and sprint
-no hold to harvest option when doing so with hands.
-straight solid stick drop rate RNG is way too unfair
-thirst increases rapidly
-building texture is still and just appears wherever the preview of the building is moved to
-no automatic brightness adjustment depending on where you look
-autosave feature would be great
Here are some positive things I noted:
-Great amount of graphical options you can tinker with
-graphical changes are previewed in the background. Every game needs this!
-Great character customisation options. Almost ARK levels
I love the overall idea of the game and the content it has to offer.
The screenshots of the game make it look normal, but the actual game has some gamma imbalances. The sunlight is extremely bright, and the rest of the environment is normal. Turning down the gamma in game is not a proper solution since everything else gets too dark. I hope this gets addressed soon.
The developer has provided me with a key to make some content on the game. As it currently stands, I am unable to play the game for a prolonged period of time. Thus, I cannot put enough playtime in to make content.
I did play it for a bit and I was able to write out some notes. I might make a short video in order to express my criticisms that I have for the game. There seems to be a lot of promise here. The game is certainly still in its early state, but it is important for the developer to not halt the progress. I hope they keep working and improving on the game in order to make it better. I am looking forward to see what is still to come. I will be updating my review, if need be, when the game fully releases.
