How much does 47,000 tons of talc weigh? About 47,000 tons! LOL That's how much talc was produced from this abandoned mine and the ones near it between the 1930s and the 1950s. This small, abandoned talc mine had been on my list of mines to explore and document for quite some time -- years, actually! Finally got it done when I took some time off recently to make the hike out to it in the desert.
Be sure to check out the sneak-peak previews at the end of this video for scenes from my next video which I'll be uploading soon!
