About Violence, Video Games & Cowards
35I just wanted to take some time to talk about the idea that violent video games are leading to so many of these horrific acts of cowardice that we keep seeing. As a gamer I find it insulting that the President is saying that there must be a link between violent video games and these obviously insane and selfish individuals. I have more friends than I could name here that grew up playing games like Mortal Kombat, Doom and many other video games that could be considered violent and yet guess how many of those friends have done something as selfish and hateful as take another human beings life? The answer is none and I am 100% positive that I am not the only person in that situation. The PS4 has sold over 70 million consoles. The Xbox One has sold over 30 million consoles. Steam sees at the absolute least 10 million users a day. That's a lot of gamers that are just chilling and having fun. Living normal lives with normal jobs with normal families. To say that 1 person out of a million is representative of the whole is intellectually dishonest. Gamers and video games are not the problem and should not be disparaged because of the acts of selfish hateful cowards. Love, Jaxxsin
