Abuse - Classic Mac, MS-DOS & Linux OST
Abuse is the only game released by the ill-fated studio Crack Dot Com. It was published by Origin Systems in 1995 for MS-DOS and Linux and later it was ported and published for the Macintosh by Bungie in 1996.
The game is an action platformer controlled simultaneously with the keyboard and mouse, which is used for aiming. It stars an armored and heavily armed man named Nick Vrena, who depending on the version of the game is either a space marine sent to save Earth from an alien invasion by a hostile species known as the Ants, or the sole survivor of a mutagenic virus that ravaged a high-tech prison.
The music for the game was composed by either Bobby Prince (of Doom and Duke Nukem 3D fame) according to Wikipedia or by Paul Baker and Joe Basquez according to MobyGames.
Nowadays Abuse is free and open source software, the code for the game having been released under the GPL-2 license shortly after Crack Dot Com's closure, with most of the game's assets being released to the public domain.
A source port of the game for modern operating systems, based on the SDL 2 framework, can be downloaded from GitHub here https://github.com/Xenoveritas/abuse
