FreedroidRPG is a free and open source RPG game similar in style to the classics Fallout 1 and 2. It sees you in control of an amnesiac Linarean, a penguin like being with a high affinity for computers and technology, who is woken up from cryogenic sleep after the world has been decimated when almost all robots suddenly went haywire and started killing everybody.

The premise of the game, as well as a hacking minigame found in it, is inspired by a classic Commodore 64 game titled Paradroid, which was remade for modern systems as the FOSS game Freedroid Classic by the same team that developed FreedroidRPG.

FreedroidRPG has been in development since 2002 by a FOSS team historically lead by Arthur Huillet, and recently version 1.0 was released, including the full first chapter of the story which on it's own provides between 25 to 30 hours of gameplay. A preview of chapter 2 is also included.

The music in the game was composed by Nick "Nario" Hagman, Arvid Picciani, 4t thieves, realsmokers and stud.
