AC Unity Full Game Playthrough. This is a full playthrough of AC Unity, done with no upgrades, no kills and no detects. This absolute Madlad of a video was a bit of a personal challenge I set myself. Since joining the Assassin's Creed Youtube Community, I've gained a huge amount of respect for the non-lethal stealth/Ghosting/ Target Only playstyle. So, because Assassin's Creed Unity is probably my strongest game, I thought I would see how close I can get to playing the entire game with no upgrades, without killing anyone, and without being detected.

Now, a couple of caveats. Can this technically be done all the way through Unity? No. All assassin's Creed games are elimination-based games, with some linear set pieces that take control away from the player. All assassination targets in assassin's creed unity need to be killed with the hidden blade, and there are many missions where Arno is detected or forced into open combat for the sake of the narrative. So the faithfulness I can maintain in regard to the three stipulations is as follows:

- No Upgrades: Pretty straightforward, you can play the entirety of ac unity with no upgrades, pretty easily, and you won't run into too much trouble. People like Leo K have done this many times. So yes, this entire video is done with no upgrades in gear, weapons, or skills.

- No Kills: This is where it gets tricky. For the majority of the game, I won't kill any hostiles. I will either choke them out or simply ghost past them. Only when I am thrust into open combat, will I engage with guards, and will deplete their health until the point where they are in a "stunned state". Assassins Creed Unity has the ability to neutralize guards without killing them by doing this, and it's a strategy to play the game in a non-lethal way that I will limit to scripted combat (thanks to the no-detect stipulation). There is also a slightly sleazier tactic that is still non-lethal, that involves berserking guards, and ensuring they are killed by the hands of another guard so that Arno has technically not killed anyone. Now, this feels pretty cheap to spam through the game, the goal is to get as close to ghost/target only as I can, so there is only one time in the entire game I use this tactic, and that is in the "rise of the assassin" mission, as it's pretty impossible to ghost that mission with no upgrades. The only people I actually Kill are all the targets in the game.

- No Detects: Pretty straightforward, anywhere I can go without being detected, I will. Things Like the Bellec fight or the Germain Ambush are out of my control, but outside of scripted detections, I will go unseen in this playthrough.
