Nice of you to contribute to this point with some AI-generated manlet. Look at this "badass." I could've knocked this guy out, but that would be bad for the disabled, and I would genuinely feel bad, but how else am I supposed to take this?

I don't know how you can accept the existence of magic in a fantasy setting and not accept that there are magics that can cure disabilities. Granted, I'm not disabled. So, I ain't got no stakes on this, but I do know fantasy magic, and there are plenty of fantasy magic healing that can cure the disabled, and I'm not quite sure why disabled people wouldn't want to take that option given the circumstances, but hey. I guess that's just the able-bodied me speaking.

It's not like this cannot be explained in-universe. Maybe the magic does exist, but there's a great risk of using it. It depends from universe to universe obviously, and I do accept the possibility that certain magics in certain universes cannot cure permanent disabilities, which can definitely increase the tension, but if we are going to have disabled warriors, I'm fine with it, but not this specific guy.
