Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception - Mission 15B: End of Deception II
It's time to end this war at last by putting a stop to Navarro's schemes at Archelon Fortress! Our choices in the previous missions mean we'll be facing Alect Squadron flying four Fenrirs in addition to a lot of other targets mostly in the air, so the Raptor with XMAAs works just fine here!
At the start of the mission, the Fenrirs will have optical camouflage making it harder to shoot them down and your allied fleet will approach the island from the south-east to land and take over the energy plant powering the camouflage. You can help them by destroying the fleet in their way though they'll do that on their own if you don't. Eventually they'll open a gate allowing you to fire directly at the transmitter, it takes three missiles to destroy it and you have limited time to do so, if you fail you'll have to wait for them to reopen it.
Once their camouflage is down, it's time to take out Alect! Each Fenrir can take three missiles before going down, or two XMAAs/XLAAs/QAAMs. The Su-47 Ace "Dusk" also appears after shooting down two Su-37s and MTDs.
After Alect is taken down, one final task remains as another Fenrir is trying to escape the fortress forcing you to chase after it!
Explosions will shake the fortress, as well as your screen, regularly, using cockpit or HUD view will greatly lessen that and make your task easier. In addition to the Fenrir you need to destroy and some other grounded ones marked as "Unknown", there's a Star U-2 in there you can destroy. Once the job is done and you escape the fortress through the roof, your work is over and you can kick back and celebrate the end of the war, as well as a very Southern Hemisphere Christmas!
And if you got 21,000 points or more, you even get an S rank!
