Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War - S-32 flight test
Best viewed at 60fps.
Another video, this time showcasing the S-32, one of the many aircrafts that didn't get to appear in Zero. I used the Berkut's slot to place this plane so it will use its SP weapon set. Still haven't figured how to restore the remaining particle effects of the plane, such as the afterburner and the trails coming from the wing tips so its exhaust will remain black for the rest of the video.
I figured how to rebuild the mission layout data files and replaced Gault's Su-47 models that were inside them with the Rafale M (which were taken from the Espada Squadron files) and the game was able to read them without issues. Since the used Rafale M models are of mid-quality (if your remember watching the Espada Squadron intro during the "Talon of Ruin" mission, Espada 2's plane doesn't look very detailed), I thought there would be some performance issues but luckily the framerate remained stable for most of the time, which makes me wonder if I can replace the low quality models normally used for enemy and allied NPC (excluding Pixy and PJ) with the mid-quality ones in missions that are purely dogfights (i.e Mayhem).
Also if you have noticed, the enemy Rafales have the search lights enabled and can also create wind trails when they move!.
Since I used a SACS squadron livery for the Rafales, I was thinking of creating a setting involving Torres, the SACS Squadron and the Alicorn. Sadly this turned out to be difficult. I tried to import the Scin/Hrimfaxi model and data from 5 to simulate the Alicorn, but when the game tries to load it the emulator will crash. This is most likely caused because inside the Scin/Hrimfaxi's code tries to load data that isn't present in Zero and also I don't know how to properly make said code to read data from Zero yet. Also I was trying to find voice clips from both Torres and the pilots of the SACS Squadron but only found a Youtube video containing a very limited amount of lines for both. I could have ripped them myself but I don't have the game at the moment. Used the few lines available but I gave up after the cutscene introduction and realizing that I was putting a lot of effort for just a demostration video, so enjoy I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Special thanks to BelkanLoyalist (@BelkanLoyalist on Twitter) for the Rafale M -SACS- livery and "Spare 6" | Keystone (@KeystoneWolf on Twitter) for ripping and uploading the voice clips from the first AC7 DLC to Youtube.
