The 19th Phase of Actober and we're back at that most wonderful book, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Another one of those iconic scene and one of my absolute favourites, so it was fun to have a go at it. Thanks to doctor whothulu again for the recommendation.
Context for this scene? I mean, if you insist. In order to fend off two incoming missles from the planet Magrathea, ordinary Earth-man Arthur Dent accidentally presses a big, red button on the control panel of the spaceship, the Heart of Gold, which happens to be the Infinite Improbability Drive - a device that causes the ship to fly through every point in known space at once. It allows them to dodge the missles, but has the side effect of turning the two missiles into a sperm whale and a bowl of pentunias.
This is the inner monologue of the sperm whale.
The bowl of pentunia, however? Well, if you've not heard/read/seen it, I urge you to find out for yourself.
