8After failing enough runs to cause literal calluses on my thumbs, a run with actual good luck like this always comes entirely unexpected. This obliterates the previous record by 7 seconds on the hardest difficulty, and was achieved on a real model III Intellivision console (verification at the end).
In this category, all you need to do is go inside the upper-left corner of the map, which underflows your position value to appear near the lower right. With so little to actually do in the run from this point, it essentially becomes a grind for good luck. The run with the best first ladder and crown half positions will likely be the record, as exemplified here.
