This is the result of 2747 attempts at some crazy goal I set for myself: to nail every trick that saves at least 0.1 seconds, AND get below 1:31.50. There are two frame-perfect tricks, a ridiculously difficult Plethora strat, and so much precision in between. As you can tell by the screw up at the beginning, I was really whacking my head trying to get everything right!
As I stated, this was the first speedrun category I ever ran, and it's nice to finally have some closure on it. I just hope people will be able to appreciate the amount of effort invested into this run, despite the bad rap the Plethora cheat usually gets. In any case, the meme is dead once more!
BLW1 - Good diamond collection, good inclines, okay jumps, and best possible momentum preservation off last rock block platform (frame perfect).
BLW2 - Seamless rock wall entrance (frame perfect), good tank bounces, great helmet grab, okay jumps, great Plethora cheat trigger.
Plethora - Perfect kill, great lag reduction.
Achieved on the Sega Smash Pack II version of Kid Chameleon.
