If you use strategy and kill them from the outside, no problem. If you try to kill them 3 from the inside, good luck, doable, but not especially easy with everything explosive and the other guards. If the hostage dies: no problem: he's the one that can die and not fail the mission. If he doesn't die another one could. Acceptable losses. Other hostages wouldn't have several hostage takers to not make things too hard. Also it is less a problem to retry a level if the difficulty is at the beginning rather than having to replay the whole level...And if he dies, then the players would know they just have to be careful with other hostages, that's enough rather than adding more and more hostage takers I think. I might add regular guards though. As this autoshotgun cries for it.
