Time to look at the only edutainment title featuring cannibalism! ...wait, what?!

Today on Ancient DOS Games Gemini's taking a look at Number Munchers, an arcade-styled game centred around mathematics, developed and published by the Minnesota Educational Computing Consortium (MECC) for Apple ][ computers in 1986, then ported to DOS in 1990.

This particular edutainment title is again, one of the few which is very decent, partly due to the fact that it's riding the line between edutainment and entertainment, but it also has highly customizable difficulty settings, making it possible for this game to be challenging even into adulthood.

Additional Information and Corrections:

* There's actually a few differences between the DOS and Apple ][ versions. For instance, only certain kinds of Troggles are supposed to be able to alter the numbers on the board, but from what I've seen in the DOS version, they ALL can. :P
