Aero Fighter Special: A remix of the hit arcade spaceship game
In 1996, Video System combined all its Aero Fighters into a single game for the PlayStation with Sonic Wings Special.
Stages, enemies, ships, and characters from all the games in the arcade hit come together in this game that takes advantage of CD quality to present a new soundtrack and refresh the vertical shooter.
Here, Video System abandons the Neogeo and creates a game on a Sony console, making it easier to adapt to the PlayStation and thus becoming the second home version after the first version on the Super Nintendo.
Here are all the characters who pilot the ships in the previous games, with two for each country. The best ones are the Japanese team with the Idol Mao Mao and the Ninja Hien.
This was the last time Aero Fighters had 2D releases, as it attempted to go 3D with Aero Fighters Assault on the Nintendo 64, which was not well received since that space had already been taken by Namco's Ace Combat.
