The new spinoff of "The Office" called "The Paper" is worth watching.
Over a week ago, Peacock premiered a spinoff of The Office, a series that still has a large fan base, but this new series has only a few points of connection to the NBC hit.
The series maintains the mockumentary format, as the team now follows a newspaper in Toledo, Ohio, which is on the verge of extinction and survives solely on internet clickbait and replication of news outlets.
The connections to the series are primarily through the character of Oscar, who is now an accountant for the outlet, but the entire cast in the first season is new, including Domhall Gleeson, an editor full of good intentions for the outlet; the administrator Sabrina Impacciatore, who wants to maintain the outlet's status quo;; and Chelsea Frei, the outlet's star journalist who acts as a romantic interest for her new editor.
