This is a review for Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition. A good direction for the age of empires series being a much more combat oriented experience. Also in terms of optimization and graphics it looks and runs quite well. It still falls short of Age of Empires 2 because of the lack of investment in your kingdom along with the smaller and more simplistic maps. Also the direction of at least the main campaign missions I found to be the weakest part. However the online multiplayer works and skirmish along with the overall gameplay is a lot of fun easily making it a buy or rent through gamepass if you're interested in the time period!
