It is what you would expect from a Call of Duty or more specifically, a "Black Ops" game. The campaign mixes up the formula the most with some stealth/spy missions but is the shortest COD campaign I think I've ever played. Competitive multiplayer's only real difference is the big team modes with the maps and vehicles. The new VIP mode I didn't find all that different enough from other existing modes with limited lives like search and destroy. It's biggest improvement is less of getting shot in the back(although this does still happen especially in other game modes) and overall better gameplay. Zombies is the biggest disappointment with the usual stuff emphasizes exploration, grinding(like the past few iterations), and finding easter eggs rather than compelling cooperative gameplay. Still fun at first but gets old very quickly amounting to "training" zombies with the map design and dated AI. Compared to the original Dead ops probably has the most improvement which isn't saying much since the screen isn't locked, but I didn't find this much different from the original.

Overall the game screams gamefly rental because it's easy to get into being a twitch FPS and graphically looks great. You can easily see everything in a matter of days. The campaign is extremely short, although I would be checking out the side missions which would extend the length a bit, but both the competitive multiplayer and coop gets old very quick. This doesn't diminish the fact that everything is at the very least fun at first, but also gets old quickly because of the usual problems with the COD formula that has become even more conservative in recent years.
