AoW being 1 of my favorite games as a kid made want to try a speedrun of it just for fun.

Running the game unpatched (1.0) so that the spell ready can carry over missions.

No major CC allows use of 'explore' and 'fog' CC that makes the game more enjoyable to run.

A lot can be optimized:
- map3 have alot of potential to be faster. It's the hardest map by far but also the most fun, almost never plays the same.
- map5 was bad, the strat is to go for peace with the humans to make them leave their leader unprotected but they refused to do so. Normally you can snipe there leader without any loses, as you need about 8 birds for the dwarven leader
- map6 could be alot better too, and if very good rng you can have birds to takeout the top right leader saving a good amount of time, maybe worth spending more time in map3 for some extra birds, but not sure the max number you can carry over from there.
Tho good rng for most other maps, most late game maps are pure auto scrollers with a chance that the enemy leader running away extending the time.

And NO ERRORS/CRASHES/SOFTLOCKS! (happens ALOT on unpatched)
