Aggressive Hellpod Usage Helldivers 2
38Hellpods are an underutilized weapon in Helldivers 2. Any helldivers can call down the fury of their superdestroyer with any support weapon, resupply, or tac pack. Close bug holes, shut down fabricators, and kill off the terminid impaler with a hellpod, and save your anti-tank shots for something else! Aim for the area underneath the head by throwing your stratagem between the tentacles and foreleg, or from behind the forelegs forelegs. Being slow and mostly immobile, the impaler is a great target.
The idea is to involve the head hitbox, which transfers 150% damage to main, making your hellpod do at least 3750 damage to main hp. Sometime the hellpod will clip more than one hitbox and one-shot the impaler, but give it a little extra preemptively with the grenade pistol, just in case.
Closing bug holes and hitting the impaler is rather easy, but fabricators are just a little tricky. Square up to the fabricator and throw it along the side for increased reliability. Avoid using sentry hellpods on the impaler and fabricators, as the sentry does not generally survive. Helldivers survive impact, but after that its up to you.
