Okay, so I had this on my HDD for a while, and a friend of mine wanted the files, so I spent yesterday looking through my old XP work PC, and I managed to find it - I zipped and sent it, but I thought it would be nice to at least fire it up - after a quick NOP NOP patch, game booted (although I am running 144hz, so it's running noticeably quicker - which makes it even more hilarious). Obviously GameWax have a bit of a bad rep seeing as Valve Limit R was hated, this one is obviously inspired by House of the dead/Evil Night and Japanese horror films like the Ring. Original game used a CRT for the main gfx and then a projector for the overly (like fog/mist etc) the upright cabinet was a heavy beast. I think only a handful were made , no distributor took the game in the end (Namco did initially have some interest), so it just disappeared - the gun towers/IO boards were recycled and used for by Coopers 9 which was distributed by Konami. Anyway, it is foretold anyone that plays this game will be dead in 7 days, guys DO NOT PLAY IT, also oddly enough, on my Windows 10 machine it thinks it's a virus. :D

Notes:

I made a quick noddy emulator of the I/O board - I have no actual I/O board, and I am guessing about how it works - it was connected via a parallel port, so I am just using a custom inpout32.dll to spoof it, TBH I am only wasting 2 hours on this, no more, no less.

There is awkward lag, don't think the game likes Windows 10 (graphical glitches), I had to turn of the virus scanner, the .exe is flagged as a Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml :D

Looks like I'll be dead in 7 days... RIP.
