Alan Wake short gameplay review
Erased a small part of the audio because youtube likes to monetise big companies even if we are not monetised ourselves, just like like doing free work for a corporation:) i will have none of what corporate peasentry here:)
Alan Wake is one of those games that changes gaming and makes gaming history. The story, the immersion, the setting, the voice acting, all the characters....they fit so well together that sometimes you will feel the adventure shooting gameplay is not needed. But i give them credit for this, they could have gone with a much streamlined gampley but they chose the hard way. They made the gameplay more challenging and really part of the story.
The bad part:
People say this is a AA console game from 2012 and they are right, it has not aged so well and the horror shooter aspect may put people off. The combat can be hard to overcome, especially the dodge mechanics in the later parts of the game. I can't say the combat has the diversity needed to be fun right until the end but the multilayered story and the way you remember and interact with each character makes up for it.
Unlike games like Fallout 4, here you really want to save your loved one, you will rush to save her. You want to know more about the Dark Presence and more about the Light presence. It's not all black and white, it's all a mystery that sometiems can be interpreted the way you want, just like a book.
Final Verdict: 100/100 not perfect but the complete package that will make you love it beyond it's flaws and limitations.
