The Bureau: Xcom Declassified short gameplay review
One of the biggest problems of the game is that it took the Xcom name and tried to make it a tactical shooter. It's basically a copy-paste from other games, merged in this game, make it play like a console game and we the bureau:xcom. The game could have been amazing but after finishing it i felt like 3-4 different teams worked on it, it's one of the most inconsistent games i ever played. There are parts where the story, the gameplay, the immersion is fantastic but there are also parts where i just had to quit the game because i had enough.
I recommand you play this game on veteran or else you will find it short and garbage:)
The total game time is 5-6 hours if you do the story or 10-20 if you do everything or even 30+ if you listen to all the dialogue, search all letters/photos, spend time leveling up your men and trying all the loadouts.
The enemies: the AI is one of the worst i have ever seen, increasing the difficulty only gives them more hp but they need it. They are not too diverse and carry boring weapons.
The story: i hated playing the last mission, it's so.....corny and overdone. The parts where you explore towns and find out what the aliens are doing are amazing.
Tactical shooter? no....noooo....not even close.
Final Verdit: 65/100 this is actually the score on Steam.
Buy at a sale, play on Veteran at least, lower the difficulty for some bosses or certain fights, try to listen and look for the story elements.
Keep in mind that i got the game at a sale, when i did the review it was at a sale....it's 4 euros/5dollars at a sale so a lot of the steam reviews can be based on it's sale price.
I can't remember the original price but if you paid 30-40 dollars for this game you would hate yourself.
