Alarm für Cobra 11: Highway Nights / Crash Time III (2009) - Every PC F1 Game
Alarm für Cobra 11: Highway Nights / Crash Time III by Synetic, 2009.
Synetic's fourth Crash Time game (the third to have the Crash Time title) was the last to feature an F1 car. Crash Time 4 and 5 didn't have the car.
This game is set, as previous ones, in an open world Autobahn and City locations. The key difference this time is that there's a racing circuit embedded in the Autobahn map, so I've used that for most of the video shown here.
The locations listed below are what I was aiming for, as there's no real-world tracks in the game.
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 Much like Crash Time 2, the F1 car is very sensitive (I'm using a wheel to play here), and the game is fully of strong bloom, blur and other fancy effects. If you let the speed go too low, the car takes ages to accelerate back up to speed again, which is a bit odd.
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:26 There's no rain in the game (it does have night time, but that's not very useful with an F1 car with no lights on it!).
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:42 I'm driving a track backwards here, as if I ran the other way the circuit turns hard-right just after the tunnel!
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:08 Again there's no rain here. You can see the squirrely handling of the F1 car here as it rides the bumps on the track.
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:28 Pitstops aren't possible; the track detects you as leaving the circuit and throws you back on track!
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:39 Crashes are a bit improved; not so much in damage, but here there's a tyre wall that moves and sends tyres flying. Your damage, however, is automatically fixed a few seconds later!
