X-Motor Racing (2007) - Every PC F1 Game
0X-Motor Racing by Exotypos, 2007.
This is a Russian developed simulator with dubiously sourced content, as it openly encourages mods and conversions. Some of the mods linked from their website are clearly ripped/converted from other commercial games.
I'm only running the demo version of this, which only includes Donington Park, however it does include an approximation of an F1 car, curiously called "Imsa", and painted like the GT cars that took part in the US IMSA American Le Mans series from the early 2000s! They can only be used in single player hot laps though, so you'll only see one car on track in this video.
I don't wish to purchase the full game currently, partly due to the bad reputation the title has, but also because it costs as much as any current triple-A title (for the standard edition), despite not being updated since around 2015 and being a little light on content out-of-the-box.
Despite all this, and the somewhat dated graphics engine (with heavy bloom options), the simulation side does seem to cover everything in-game, with many options that may not even appear in a high end simulator like rFactor 2.
Let's take a look... obviously all shots are from Donington Park. Should I ever get the full game then I'll replace this video with more content from the full game.
1. Race Start (Monza): 0:00 Not much to say here; the car has rather squeaky brakes and is proabably a touch more heavy than F1 cars in other games.
2. Spray Effects (Silverstone): 0:26 There's no rain/spray, just cloud and fogging effects, which can look quite interesting at times.
3. Tunnel & View (Monaco): 0:42 The car likes to spin out a bit here, as I overdrive the hairpins!
4. Wet Track (Spa-Francorchamps): 1:06 Again, no rain. The fogging is quite nice overall, but the cockpit is always too bright, with not enough shadows in-car.
5. Pitstop (Interlagos): 1:23 It's pretty obvious where you should stop in the pitlane! Pitstops aren't very exciting though!
6. Huge Crash (Montreal): 1:38 Crashes can be fun! There's no damage on this car, but I manage to get a cone stuck inside the car, which looks amusing!
