Alaska or Bust! My Alaska Vacation Recap! (A Full Guide Through This Insane 13 Day Vacation!)
In this video we fully recap all the fun we had on vacation. Several months ago we booked a 7 day Alaska Cruise on the Norwegian Encore. In planning for this cruise we decided that it would be best to drive versus flying due to cost (ticket and luggage). Until weeks before we were going to take one care, but last minute switched to two cars. We begin our journey in my driveway outside the studio loading the car with drinks and ice. I first film in the Nevada desert, showing really there isn’t much out here between Reno and Vegas. I give another couple updates in Reno, this is where I won some money which was pretty cool. Next update is driving from Reno through Susanville to Mt. Shasta. We did eat at the first Black Bear Diner ever built in Mt. Shasta. From there we may our way into Tigard Oregon, but we did make a stop at a Grants Pass Dutch Bros coffee shop to honor the birthplace of Dutch Bros. From Tigard, we drove straight to Seattle Washington. We didn’t do too much but did visit a Lego store and pick up the Lego Indiana Jones Temple of the Golden Idol set #77015, and this qualified me to get the Pirates Playground Promo set as well. In Seattle we boarded the ship. While cruising on the ship we did have a full day of rough seas, but this ended the day we ported into Juneau Alaska. In Juneau we visited a Salmon hatchery and the Mendenhall Glacier, as well as walked in town to some shops. The next port was in Skagway Alaska, here we avoided town to do a 5 hour excursion to a compound that gave us a look into the Iditarod dog racing, as well into the Alaska gold mining rush. Then on a sea day we slowly cruised through an area called Glacier Bay and saw some amazing glaciers and where guided by park rangers. Then we ported in Ketchikan Alaska, unfortunately we were rained out and this stopped us from fully exploring the town, but we managed to do some nice gift shop shopping. Our final stop was in Victoria Canada. This was a very short port so we walked around the docks and bought some Canadian snacks before heading in. After we go off the ship we immediately began driving our way back down. Along the way we spent a day and a half with my brother and we visited San Francisco California on Pier 39. Then after 8 more driving hours we were home. In total the trip was 5,500 miles round trip combined. It was amazing, and I hope you all watched the video through to get at least a tiny bit of what I was able to enjoy. Thank you for watching, be sure to watch tomorrows video.
