Hello, and welcome to Bricks and Toyz! In todays video we are introducing a whole new grading system called B.A.T. (Bricks and Toyz). After a long night of brainstorming channel improvements, my wife came up with this system and I’m super excited to introduce it to you today. This system is created with hopes to connect you from the beginning to the end of the video by making you curious to what number I would give a certain set. In todays video we create 5 points, Box, Packaging, Look / Functionality, Part Usage, and Display. I will leave the floor open to suggestion on how to expand from 5 points to 10, so comment below! To kick off the demonstration we set up the board and use the Lego Icons Back To The Future Time Machine set #10300. Each point equals 20 to make a full 100 points. Anything below 60 is definite not recommend, over 60 is definite recommend. In the case of the Time Machine, the box itself scored a 16, the packaging inside scored a 20, the functionality scored a 20, the part usage scored a 14, and finally the over all display scored a 16. This all combined was 86, so this means automatically its a definite recommend. I find this system rather fun! Now let quickly dive into a set I know I didn’t care much for, The Book Shop. The box itself scored a 10, the packaging inside scored a 10, the functionality scored a 10, the part usage scored a 10, and finally the over all display scored a 20. This all combined was 60, so this means automatically its a definite not recommend. Which was my opinion when I built this set. But now you have a visual of how I got this opinion now.
