Alien Isolation Gameplay On Ubuntu 15.10 (Native)
126Alien Isolation running natively on Ubuntu 15.10 with maxed graphics!
A big thanks to Feral Interactive for providing this review copy. To note, my 680 is barely meeting the requirements and at the same time expect SSR to take a hit on performance since I'm recording with software, and at 60fps.
I actually accidentally enjoyed this too much and ended up recording nearly 2 hours of gameplay. It runs too well I forgot I was recording...
I play throughout this video using my Dual Shock 4 PS4 controller wirelessly over bluetooth. Everything works except vibration.
There will be a lot of screen tearing in this video due to the fact that I didn't use the ssr-inject option, and instead opted to record desktop whilst also turning off in-game Vsync. I wanted to see what kind of framerates I'd get under heavy duress.
Alien Isolation is a very graphically beautiful game, and I'm suprised to be seeing such high framerates not only with Ultra settings, but even whilst I'm recording!
This is a solid port by Feral Interactive, and if horror games with elements of adventure/rpg are up your alley, then this is the next big triple-A title you need to get for your Linux gaming library!
