The graphical settings options are identical on the Windows version and the Linux version, so each test was reproducible on each system exactly.
On Ubuntu, the CPU governor is set to Performance. For Windows, it is set to High Performance.
Minimum settings here means everything that can be turned OFF or set to LOW was set to OFF or LOW.
Maximum settings means cranking everything ON and to the Highest setting possible, with the exception of V-Sync and Anti-Aliasing which was kept off.
I may have made mistakes, and if I have done so, please forgive me and correct me in the comments. I've tried to do this benchmark and analysis to the best of my knowledge and capabilities.
