Well, in my quest to record as much footage of HRTF in gaming as possible, it was inevitable that it would lead me to a City Interactive game at some point. As an Unreal Engine 3.5 game, it's possible to use the X3DAudio HRTF wrapper to gain binaural headphone audio (IRC_1037 used in video). Unlike A Hat in Time or Painkiller, however, there's barely any benefits to playing Alien Rage with 3D positional audio. A big problem is that the sound mixing and sound design in general is absolutely horrendous.
Note that you must set the .exe to Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode or else it'll crash on startup (saving you the pain of having to play Alien Rage).

IRC_1037 HRTF tables placed in "HRTF" directory and renamed to "MIT_KEMAR_32000.mhr", "MIT_KEMAR_44100.mhr", "MIT_KEMAR_48000.mhr", and "MIT_KEMAR_96000.mhr".
