Aliens: Fireteam Elite - Restock Turrets: Tower - Insane
Playing Restock Turrets: Tower with Crimson and Inexorable Warrior. Tchylol also dropped by briefly to chat with Crimson.
I have a lot of trouble with this map, so they're helping me out greenstamping it with every class. A lot of people tend not to play it, so it's hard to practice, and people often die early, making getting memories of how later waves go more difficult. Restock Turrets tends to strongly reward quickly responding correctly to how a wave spawns, so knowing where to go and what to do quickly helps a lot. Which is hard to learn when most people die on wave 5 or 6.
It's also one of the only maps where a Technician with a Heavy Turret is solidly useful in my opinion, as you can place a Technician turret in a few spots on the map that xenos have a lot of trouble getting to, and it has a fairly unrestricted line of fire to most of the map.
Crimson and Inexorable Warrior also have different experiences and philosophies on beating this map, which is interesting to hear them compare. Crimson for example tends to advocate strongly for Doc on the map, as the Suppression Station can be so powerful, while Inexorable Warrior tends to favour AOE Explosives to deal with trash quickly. Both are very beneficial. In this run we've got Warrior on Demolisher, Crimson on Gunner, and myself on Technician. (Note, I have my Burst Pistol setup to slow enemies, so it's operating as a poor man's Suppression Station for elites mainly. Technican with Creative Pain Point Solutions also gains extra damage from fighting slowed enemies.)
Game glitched on the mission aftermath, so stats are a couple screenshots edited into the video from Inexorable Warrior.
