Today for Ancient DOS Games, Gemini's taking a look back at Aliens - The Total Conversion (aka Aliens TC), an extensive modification of the original Doom made barely a year a following the release of Doom, back in 1994, by Justin Fisher, designed to add a brand new full episode of levels inspired by the Aliens sequel from 1986, with new graphics, enemies, and weapons to go along with it, while using NONE of Doom's original enemies in the process!

* Getting an appropriate copy of Aliens TC is a complicated process and I'm not sure I completely got it right when describing it in the video, just that the process I described is what ultimately worked for me. * For different executable versions and patching tools to get your copy of Doom wrangled into an appropriate version, you can find all of those available at the following site: https://doomgate.de/files/duub/index.html

* One thing to clarify about the explosive black aliens which I got wrong: They're not "completely" silent, in fact they make all of the same noises the regular black aliens make... EXCEPT for an idle sound, meaning if you can't hear it BEFORE it sees you, then it's the exploding variety.
