Aliens versus Predator Classic 2000 Gameplay - Cheat Mode 8: DiscoInferno
The eighth Cheat Mode available is "DiscoInferno", which makes the lighting of the scenario glow like a Discotheque Ball. Like "Pipecleaner", this alteration is merely cosmetic in spirit, but it might affect the gameplay difficulty if the player isn't aware of which Vision Mode is being used.
For the Marines, this Cheat Mode renders useless the Image Intensifier, as there is no clear difference between it and the Normal Vision Mode, which makes things easier as the Motion Tracker will always be available for the player to locate enemies.
For the Predator, all Vision Modes, except the PredTech Mode, look pretty much the same, so the only way to tell which of the other three Vision Modes (Normal, Thermal or Electric) is currently on is by spotting an enemy. Also, you can toggle it to PredTech, and the next one in the cycle is the Normal, then the Thermal, and the Electric closes the cycle.
For the Aliens, it games the gameplay harder as the Navigation Sense applies the Negative Coloring effect, so a pitch black room in the Normal Vision Mode will result in a blinding white when toggling to the Navigation Sense, which makes harder to move through dark areas like the Ventilation Shafts. Also, those Minigun-wielding Marines always targeted me with perfect accuracy and made me repeat Gateway several times, making this video unnecessarily longer. However, I wasn't going to be deterred so easily by an Episode I have already beaten several times, so here you are.
See you in the next video!
