The Alienware M15 R6 Gaming Laptop is hands down one of the best Laptops out there.
However with that said. Lets go over the Cons of owning a laptop before we go over all the good stuff.

The first con is how hot and loud the laptop gets. This is something that will apply to pretty much every gaming laptop, its hard to avoid. Especially when your playing games at 1440p and hopping into triple digits with frame rates.
But with that said, the laptop does get hot and the fans do get very loud. However, there isn't any crashing or blue screens of death, so the laptop handles it well.

The only other thing I could see as a con is the battery life. But it is a Gaming Laptop that requires power, so thats not really something you can avoid.

Now lets hop into the specs of this beast. Do keep in mind there is quite a few options to chose from varying in prices. The link down in the description will save you almost $200, but do keep in mind that wont last forever.

The Benchmarks we will be going over is the version that comes with an Intel i7 11800H, the NVidia RTX 3080, 32GB of DDR4 Ram running at 3200mhz, a 1TB SSD, has a 240hz 1440p Gsynch capable display and has Windows 11.

So Here's how the Alienware m15 R6 did in some very well-known tests and benchmarks that were all done at 1080p Ultra settings.

Cinebench CPU: Multi-core: 10,998cb; Single-core: 1,437cb
Tom Clancy's The Division 2: Ultra: 100 fps; High: 127 fps
Metro Exodus: RTX (ray-tracing on Ultra): 95 fps; High: 122 fps
Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Highest: 132 fps; High: 133 fps
Total War: Three Kingdoms: Ultra: 92 fps; High: 93 fps
Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultra: 85 fps; High: 116 fps

Now, the vast majority of games in 2022 are not going to get anywhere near the FPS range to take full advantage of the refresh rate, but a display this quick100% does make a difference if you adjust some settings inside of games. Using Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, Valorent, and Minecraft as a few examples, all of those games have been optimized very well, so the frame rates for those are certainly able to take advantage of the display, but for the majority of games, you will not be playing that at 1440p 240hz

It’s not all about the graphics card though. The 32GB RAM helps a ton with general navigation, and the same for the CPU this comes with along side the 1tb m.2 ssd installed . It doesn’t matter what you do on the system, it never stutters or slows.

Alienwares Command Center is another great benefit that quite frankly helps the battery life of the laptop more than you would think, as well as allowing you to customize the thermal management, the rgb on the keyboard, setting macros and a few other settings.
