What a great game. The original survival horror series with a fantastic sequel. It's a damn shame this game wasn't better received because it truly is quite an awesome game. It's got a couple of rough spots but overall it really is one of the better survival horror games I have played. This one hearkens back to the original and gives you 2 different playable characters each with their own unique campaign. They do crossover and go through some similar areas, but they each go through those areas in their individual ways which is really cool. You aren't just retreading ground. One of the few downsides is that I think some rooms have infinite enemies. You do get an obscene amount of healing, ammo and saves, so danger is really superficial. I had to mod the game to get it to run proper on my more modern PC but somehow that meant I deleted the ending, so... whoops. I also ran into a softlock where there was a puzzle that was unsolvable. I managed to use a cheat that gave me all items and that allowed me to pass the door and then I turned the cheat off and removed all of those items so the crisis was averted nicely. The graphics were quite nice. I liked the pre-rendered backgrounds and the use of the light sources which actually had a sort of real time lighting. It was a cool effect. Neither campaign is all that long either which means playing through both doesn't take more than 20 hours. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
