This is exactly what I like to see. It's not perfect but it is a huge improvement over the first game. My first reaction was an smile. I immediately noticed that you move much faster and the controls are more responsive. The pixel art is wonderful and a nice step up from the 8-bit style of Awakening. The game isn't perfect, I did run into a few issues/bugs with climbing ladders. Some nice additions are the upgrades you get. There are collectibles that you can use to improve all of your powers, whether it be the block, bubble or, lightning ball. And they all have their uses and some are mandatory for progress, but all very useful at some point or other. The bosses were pretty cool and looked neat. The dungeons were all varied, with cool puzzles and sometimes tricky platforming and a couple had some great challenges. Overall, I really liked it and it is miles better than Awakening. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
