If a boss in a game really wanted to kill you, they'd lead with their strongest attack wouldn't they?
I think Sans makes a pretty good point. It's an extremely insignificant point, a very very nitpicky complaint to have about a videogame, a completely pointless thought experiment to jump down the rabbit hole over, a complete waste of time and energy to even bother exploring for even a minute or two...
But let's do it anyway.
Not every game suffers from this problem, but everything from Undertale, to Risk of Rain and Risk of Rain 2, The Binding of Isaac to Furi, Hollow Knight to Hades, all suffer from this problem.
But Musical games, like Guitar Hero, Everhood, Osu!, Dance Dance Revolution and Thumper seemingly evade this problem...
