Xbox Series X Launches, Some Amazon Preorders Won’t Arrive Until December
The next generation of gaming is officially here, with the kickoff coming from the Xbox Series X launching today with the general public finally getting their hands on it after being teased for what feels like ages by tech and gaming insiders. But if you’ve been waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat having nightmares about your Series X being delayed, today may be the day you check your email and see your fears come true. According to multiple customers on social media, Amazon has begun to delay certain orders on the Xbox Series X, saying their arrival could be pushed back as far back as Dec. 31.
PUBG Mobile Hints At Return to India after It Was Banned
Krafton Inc, the South-Korean company that owns PUBG Corp. has signed a deal with Microsoft that will let the PUBG parent host the game on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.
The deal allows Krafton to host products directly operated by the company and its subsidiaries’, including PUBG on PC and Consoles, in addition to PUBG Mobile, which was banned in India two months ago.
PUBG Corp. still holds the rights of the popular battle royale mobile game. While reports suggest that PUBG Mobile is planning a return to India with such cloud deals, others indicate that data security and Chinese ownership was only a part of why the app was banned.
NBA 2K21 on PS5 Needs a Minimum 150GB
Upon launch, the PS5 will not support external storage devices that will allow you to install games and other data to your hearts content. And at first glance, the 667 GB you have that comes pre-installed seems to be enough to at least tide you over through the holiday season. That is, until you pick up some of the new generation titles like NBA2k21 on the PS5 that according to the back of it’s box will take up a MINIMUM of 150GB of space on that harddrive. 667 gigs doesn’t seem too big anymore now, does it?
Now, there is always the possibility of the final installed game to not take up all of that room, but even if you were to cut a third off of it off, 100 gb out of just under 700 gb total is still a MASSIVE concession you have to make in order to keep this game installed. And this isn’t the first time we’ve seen massive file sizes for newer games, as the nightmare of Warzone still lives on with people now having to dedicate over 200 gb of data storage to the COD game.
