It all started in 2007, when BioWare dreamed up an action role-playing game set in the distant future, where aliens and humans have colonized the entire galaxy. Created by Casey Hudson, the video game was part of a trilogy that focused on Commander Shepard, a veteran soldier trying to save the galaxy from the Reapers—a race of ancient, sentient starships. The popularity of the game inspired many more video games, novels, series, and comics. Fans were understandably super excited to learn that Amazon MGM Studios is adapting the story into a series.
