Leitmotifs in Videogames:
This track is one of those tracks that plays pretty often throughout the game. The melodic leitmotif is also connectred to other important moments of the game - increasing the memorability of th melody + it's importance.

In this case it's based on the Overworld Music that is introduced in the game's first act - but with an additional accordion + a slightly changed chord progression (with the same melody though). The "Wanderer's Cave" is the only place in the game where this instrument is used - this way the player will notice the change (even if its only subconsciously) + at the same time we tried to make it feel like "coming home" - because the melody is sth the player already knows, but still a bit strange - since it's still different. Using some of the instruments of our main Act 1 instrumentation makes it feel comfortable - the unique instrument still ensures it doesn't feel 100% the same at this point.
