In this video, I am benchmarking the Ryzen 7 5800x in a few games and applications on Manjaro and Windows at 720p and in Ashes of Singularity at 800p to truly test the CPU. In StarCraft 2 the 1% low fps is much better on Manjaro, because the game uses more than 2 cores, compared to Windows. Also, the Vulkan on Linux is in a better shape than the AMD driver's Vulkan, therefore in Dota 2, the performance difference is greater. In the rest of the games Windows wins, but also the CPU can contain a bit higher clock speed all core (4750MHz vs 4680MHz). More than likely with future kernel optimization Linux can catch up.
