I was hoping to see tests like this on day one, but my patience has been rewarded!

You can thank this site from Thailand:
http://www.zolkorn.com/reviews/amd-ryzen-7-1800x-vs-intel-core-i7-7700k-mhz-by-mhz-core-by-core/

In the video I mistaked the non-translated original script as Georgian - oops, I'm sorry, I swear, especially to any Thai viewers!

They use a Ryzen 7 1800X with a single CCX disabled for 4 working processing cores, clocked at 4.0 GHz. In order to get a better picture of per-core and per-clock performance on a more core to core basis, ****they limit the i7-7700K to 4.0 GHz as well.****

Other possible stipulations in the tests:
1. Use of only DDR4-2133
2. GTX 1080, and not the use of a Titan XP or GTX 1080i
3. It's not explained if a whole CCX is disabled, or if two cores on each CCX is disabled. I assume an entire CCX is disabled, the likely more optimal solution.
4. Even with cores disabled, the Ryzen chip could still be benefitting from Ryzen 7's cache system.

Take from that what you will knowing these things, but I found the findings interesting for those waiting for Ryzen 3 and 5 quad-core variants.

Game being played is Horizon: Zero Dawn on PS4.
