Addressing the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Supreme Court, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that Amrit Kaal demands modernization and best practices of our Indian judicial system. He added that for the same we have done away with the colonial laws and practices. We have enabled reforms in legal, policing, and investigative systems promoting better training and capacity building. Moreover, we have also aimed to reduce pending cases by strengthening avenues such as the ‘Alternative Dispute Resolution’ mechanism and law of mediation.
