In this talk, Anuj Dhar, once again, tries to make sense of the waxed issue, one of the longest-running controversies of modern India and takes one through the three accepted theories about the fate of Netaji the official line being that he died in a plane crash in 1945. He examines a number of eyewitness accounts, documentary proof, and forensic evidence, to reveal the multiple inconsistencies in the official line and the conspicuous cover-up by the government (including the melting of INA’s treasure gold and being credited to Nehru’s personal account) make it hard to believe. The other two theories are that he died (or rather, was left to die in the cold snow) in Russia, and the third and the most plausible one- that of Gumnami Baba, who lived till 1985.
Dhar explores all the theories and smashes to bits, the Justice Mukherjee Commission’s cover-up of the case.


बोस 1939 में भारतीय राष्ट्रीय कांग्रेस के अध्यक्ष थे, लेकिन महात्मा गांधी और नेहरू के साथ राजनीतिक मतभेदों के कारण उन्होंने उसे छोड़ दिया। वह भारत से पलायन करने के बाद, पहले हिटलर की जर्मनी गए, और बाद में जापान, जहां उन्होंने 1943 में 40,000 सैनिकों की मजबूत भारतीय राष्ट्रीय सेना का पुनर्गठन किया. जो की 1857 के स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के पश्चात अंग्रेजों के विरुद्ध पहला सैन्य प्रतिरोध था।

उनकी मृत्यु के रहस्य पर वर्षों तक पर्दा पड़ा रहा। क्योंकि उससे सम्बंधित सभी फाइलें प्रधान मंत्री कार्यालय, सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय और विदेश मंत्रालय के पास धुल खाती रही और आने वाली सभी सरकारों ने दशकों तक उन पर प्रतिबन्ध बनाये रखा।
अनुज धर, 'इंडियाज बिगेस्ट कवर-अप' के लेखक, ने पहली बार जनवरी 2015 में राष्ट्रीय अभिलेखागार में इन फाइलों को देखा।

For more than a decade, Anuj Dhar has devoted himself to resolving the mystery surrounding the disappearance of Subhash Chandra Bose. He has authored several books about Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the theories about his death/ disappearance He has authored several books, like Back from Dead, Conundrum, Your Prime Minister is Dead, What Happened to Netaji, all revolving around the locus of the disappearance/ death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. His 2012 bestseller, India's Biggest Cover-up (Netaji Rahasya Gatha in Hindi), triggered the demand for declassification of documents pertaining to Netaji. He is also the founder trustee of Mission Netaji, campaigning against the Bluff that the successive governments have fed to the people of India.
