An Indie Risk of Rain 2 like in the Making? – Warden's Will Demo –
Warden's Will is an Indie, SciFi, Cell Shaded Third Person light RPG with a focus on fast movement and impactful action combat; it feels good.
Warden's Will feels like an Indie take on Risk of Rain 2.

An Indie Risk of Rain 2 like:
Warden's Will has the fast, mobility focused, action combat feel of the most recent Risk of Rain, along with the large, expansive area to explore around, loot chests, and fight monsters.
The flying / gliding / sprinting feels really good here; providing an excellent view of the battlefield, as you soar over a world that feels very big, very alien, and very vertical; nice.
Like Risk of Rain 2, monsters continually get stronger as time goes on here, encouraging the player to drop their foes fast to get their dropped bits, used to open tech chests scattered around the map for even more power.
Online Co-op is planned here as well.
Combat Like Risk of Rain 2, but Better?!
The combat in Warden's Will is good.
There is a stamina system present, drained by flying / sprinting / hovering / blinking, dodging, and double jumping, adding a real cost to using your awesome mobility, a feature that is not really present in Risk of Rain 2; as it is just cooldown based there.
There are also the ammo limits / combo blasters; with all the weapons having both a primary and an alternative fire, with the depleted primary fire literally charging the alt fire!
Firing one gun charges the other, and vice versa as the alt charge builds on the other side.
It works really well, with one of the blasters being an automatic rifle, and its alt being a nasty shotgun, or another that is an explosive grenade launcher, that shoots an even larger doom sphere when charged up.
There is of course a railgun, if you’re into that, and a long range, continuous firing laser, with an alt fire that launches a big energy sphere you shoot to deal AOE damage.
I also really like the very visual display of character stamina to the immediate left of the targeting point, and the state of the ammo charge is usefully presented to the right as well; very good.
The Action RPG:
You get 4 different blasters you pick from, right at the start, with 2 more planned for the full game.
Each of the 3 different characters, who are available right at the start, have a very different navigation ability, like flight, hovering, or blinking, a powerful active, and an even more powerful ultimate; this is in addition to the blaster options above.
There is a lot of gameplay and RPG choice presented here, right at the start: good.
The default FL.Y3R: flight, mines, and ultimate lock-on rockets
D4-SHER: a 3 point Dash, a charging blade attack that explodes behind & a bladestorm AOE
HO.V_HER: Hover, an orbital strike, and Ion canon continuous firing laser
There are also tech chests that grant a pick of 1 of 3 Vampire Survivors like upgrades for the run; nice.
There are little radar / comm. stations where you can pay yellow bit currency to get an upgrade.
Controller Support is present, and good, while good old mouse and keyboard is present as well.
I went mostly with mouse and keyboard in the above video, as the aiming felt much more precise for me.
Online Co-op is planned for the full game as well, in case that is something that interests you.

Still, Warden's Will is a fun Indie, Sci-Fi, Cell-Shaded TPS RPG Risk of Rain 2 like with a focus on fast movement and impactful action combat; it feels good.
Warden's Will is well worth a wishlist and a watch.
