The Legend of Zelda happens to be my favorite video game franchise, and Link's Awakening is my favorite 2D-game of the series (so far). I have only played it once before, but that was enough for me to like it better than the other 2D-games. I've never played the original for the Gameboy, only the DX version for the Gameboy Color, but since they only added things to the DX version, I don't feel like I missed out on anything.
